Half Day Cooking Classes

Fez is one of Morocco’s great food cities, and this is a chance to understand it from the kitchen, not just the table.

Our Fez cooking classes take place at The Courtyard Kitchen at Dar Namir, a beautifully restored courtyard house where Moroccan home cooking meets a more contemporary, seasonal approach. These are small, hands-on classes built around real ingredients, generous flavors, and the techniques that make Moroccan food so layered: preserved lemons, fresh herbs, warm spices, slow-cooked sauces, handmade breads, bright salads, and dishes made to be shared.

Depending on the class, you might learn to prepare a classic Moroccan feast, explore Moroccan tapas-style dishes, cook a modern seasonal menu after a market visit, or spend the day outside Fez at an organic goat farm cooking over fire and eating lunch among the orchards.

Most classes are private or small-group, with menus planned around the season and your dietary needs. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free guests can be happily accommodated with advance notice.

This is not a demonstration you watch from the sidelines. It’s a slower, more personal way to experience Fez: cooking, tasting, asking questions, sitting down together, and leaving with a better sense of how Moroccan food is actually built.

Immerse yourself in a half day cooking class

This Fez cooking class is hosted by Rachida, who cooks the kind of food that anchors a Moroccan kitchen — practical, generous, and instinctive rather than built around a recipe. Each dish comes together using time honoured techniques and flavour combinations that result in really good, deeply flavoured food you’ll make again and again.
